Between refurbishments and COVID-19 closures, Walt Disney World® Resort has continued to reopen beloved experiences as the last year has progressed. That continues through 2023, as attractions return for the first time for the pandemic and others receive updates.
Tiana's Bayou Adventure
Splash Mountain has closed for good at Walt Disney World Resort, and though its Disneyland® Resort counterpart stands as of the time of this writing, it will soon follow the same fate.
The Orlando iteration is scheduled to open in 2024.
Rock 'n' Rollercoaster Starring Aerosmith
Many rollercoasters and attractions—especially longstanding ones—require refurbishments and repairs over time. This refurbishment is set to begin on Feb. 20 and continue through the spring, with a reopening planned for this summer.
Enchanted Tales with Belle
This interactive, storytelling experience narrated by Princess Belle is set to reopen for the first time since its pandemic closure on Feb. 19.
Kali River Rapids
Undergoing refurbishment during Florida's cold season, this water-based attraction is scheduled to reopen on March 18.
For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration
This Frozen sing-along comedy show had its original refurbishment date set for last fall before it moved to this month. It is set to reopen on Jan. 27.
