From long-anticipated attractions and shows to fan-favorites undergoing refurbs and coronavirus-related closures, several attractions are set to come to Walt Disney World Resort in 2021. All of the below attractions are confirmed to be coming this year as of March 4, 2021.
Remy's Ratatouille Adventure
Coming to Epcot®'s France pavilion, Remy's Ratatouille Adventure is a trackless ride brought over from Disneyland Paris. Reminiscent of the ride system for Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway, this is another piece of Disney's continued evolution of the traditional dark ride. Though there has been no opening date announced yet, most of the construction walls have been removed and the area near the ride has been opened.
The Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover
This fan-favorite attraction was down for much of 2020, and has seen numerous dates and rumors floated about in regard to its new opening date. With the target seemingly moving as updates roll on for the attraction, it is wise not to plan a trip with this reopening date in mind until a specific date is announced. That said, it has been seen undergoing testing.
Festival of the Lion King
With barges for Epcot's new firework spectacular arriving in the park and testing occurring for Fantasmic, bigger shows may be on the way soon for Walt Disney World Resort. Until the nighttime spectaculars are ready, though, Disney has announced that Festival of the Lion King will be making its return this summer.
