MagicBand+ debuts July 27, 2022, bringing the wearable technology back to the forefront of Walt Disney World® Resort's offerings.
Starting at $34.99, discounts will be offered to Annual Passholders and hotel guests (prior to arrival). MagicBand+ will debut with 35 variations at launch available at select retailers across theme parks, Disney Springs and resorts.
MagicBand+ is set to contain the same features as the traditional MagicBand, acting as both park ticket and Lightning Lane access key. Additionally, its lights will synchronize and the band will vibrate with Disney's fireworks shows, and will interact with each park's Beacon of Magic.
MagicBand+ will interact with each of the Fab 50 Character Collection statues in the four Walt Disney World Resort theme parks. It will also combine with the Play Disney Parks app to guide guests through bounty hunting missions in Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge.
All ticket and key functions, folio charging and PhotoPass integration will work when MagicBand+'s one-to-three-day battery dies. The battery can be charged using an included USB Type A plug, and its charge status can be viewed via the My Disney Experience app.
