Explaining Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser's pricing

Updated: May 17

Disney has updated the website for its Star Wars hotel, and that includes the pricing for the luxury resort experience. It is priced unlike any resort experience Walt Disney World® Resort, more closely resembling Disney Cruise Line's rates than that of the standard hotel.

And while it is certainly more expensive than the typical Walt Disney World Resort vacation experience, that is because it is not your typical vacation. A two-night experience, most of the all-inclusive itinerary is designed for you, as you are casted as a character in your own unique story.

By all-inclusive, again think like a cruise, but elevated, as your stay not only comes with all of your food and drink (minus specialty and alcoholic drinks), but with your theme park ticket to Galaxy's Edge and the rest of Disney's Hollywood Studios as well. By all accounts, it seems that much of the vacation will be spent within the ship—the resort—you are paying for. It is intended to be an escapist experience utilizing the neighboring theme park to bolster its Star Wars rather than a place you sleep at night when not visiting the theme parks, and thus is priced like the one-of-a-kind experience it intends to be.

Though many secrets remain around the full experience, guests will be presented with activities throughout their stay that change with the choices they make, molding a story around the way the guests want it told.

Though hints indicate the price may also include elements like costumes or props for activities, nothing has been revealed of that nature yet. It has been confirmed that the price includes a 2-night stay in a cabin or suite, interactive entertainment, food and beverage, theme park admission, valet parking and an exclusive MagicBand.
