Hidden gem restaurants in each Walt Disney World Resort park

Updated: May 20

Walt Disney World® Resort is host to a couple hundred restaurants, so deciding where to eat, especially when your favorite options run out of availability, is often a realistic obstacle for plenty of guests. Several restaurants still hold reservations until the day-of, and also offer walk-up lists.

There are must-tries of each of these in every Disney park, with our picks listed below:

Jungle Navigation Co. Ltd. Skipper Canteen

Skipper Canteen not only often has same-day availability, but it also has some of the best food, service and atmosphere of any restaurant in Magic Kingdom® Park. With one of the park's more unique menus and servers who can dish out the jokes just as the attraction's skippers do, this is a cannot-miss.

Biergarten Restaurant

This German, buffet-style restaurant brings a variety of meats and other foods not seen much elsewhere in the parks, giving guests a one-of-a-kind dining experience with a lot of same-day availability. Live entertainment in the restaurant separates it from the traditional meal, and gives Epcot® a meal that fits perfectly within its theme.

Tiffins Restaurant

It is hard to find a hidden gem in Disney's Animal Kingdom® with a limited selection of table service restaurants that all serve their purpose masterfully, but Tiffins often appears to be the one most deserving of attention, and perhaps that one that gets some of the least. A signature dining experiences pairs perfectly with the park guests often see the quickest, taking inspiration from the park itself to design fine cuisine for guests who want to be just a little adventurous.

The Hollywood Brown Derby

For similar reasons as Disney's Animal Kingdom, it is hard to find any restaurant, aside from perhaps Mama Melrose's Ristorante Italiano, that is truly hidden in Disney's Hollywood Studios®. But still our recommendation here goes to the Brown Derby, as reservations are still significantly easier to grab here than the heavily themed dining experiences, and the food is just as great, if not better, than those.
