How to celebrate the holidays at Walt Disney World Resort

Updated: May 21

The holidays have arrived at Walt Disney World® Resort, and whether through separately ticketed events or through simply attending the parks and resorts, there are tons of ways to find the Christmas cheer.

Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party

This separately ticketed, special event takes over Magic Kingdom® Park on select nights during the holiday season. An exclusive nighttime spectacular, one of Disney's best parades, a wonderful stage show, exclusive food, lower attendance, complimentary cookies and more make this a festive event to remember.

Disney Jollywood Nights

For the first time ever, Disney's Hollywood Studios® joins the holiday fun with this separately ticketed event. Live entertainment and exclusive shows bring this dazzling event to life in a one-of-a-kind stunner on select nights.

Visit the Parks

Those who attend Magic Kingdom Park, Disney's Hollywood Studios and the rest of the parks during the day and on nights without the events will be surrounded by holiday decor and limited dining options, so those looking for a more typical vacation schedule can still get in on the holiday fun.

The EPCOT® International Festival of the Holidays

The end-of-year, annual EPCOT festival is included with the price of admission, and it transforms World Showcase with holiday-themed food booths and live entertainment celebrating the season. The cookie stroll turns the park in a tour of decadent cookies, and creates a unique scavenger hunt that the entire party can participate in.

Resort Hop

The resort hotels transform for the season much the same way the theme parks do, with ceiling-scraping trees and gingerbread displays taking over the resort lobbies. The life-size, hand-designed gingerbread house at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa stands at the center of Disney's holiday offerings and features purchasable treats that are only available on-site.
