Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is Walt Disney World® Resort's newest attraction, scheduled to open May 27, 2022. As Disney's first Florida-based roller coaster since 2018's Slinky Dog Dash, there has already been evidence of high demand from guests.
Opening Weekend
Annual pass park reservations for the attraction's debut day are currently booked as of the time of this writing. While there is some park pass availability, Memorial Day Weekend is historically a busy time for the Disney parks, and thus those interested should book their trip and park passes as soon as possible.
Preview Events
Disney has announced that previews will be available for cast members and annual passholders. Annual passholders should keep an eye on their email inboxes for a registration invitation from Disney to schedule their preview. Though no dates have been announced for previews yet, trends indicate it should take place near early to the middle of May. D23 Gold members, a status that costs $100 each year, have the opportunity to access an exclusive event to ride the attraction early. Registration for the May 17, 2022 event is scheduled to open on April 12, 2022 st 2 p.m. EST via the D23 website. The event costs $35 per person in addition to a $5 processing fee. Guests will get park admission starting at 4 p.m. (with check-in at the EPCOT® gate taking place from 3:30 p.m.-6:30 p.m.) with no need for additional park admission. Guests will be given a $20 dining voucher, will be able to view Harmonious and will be able to ride Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind after the park closes. Attending guests will also receive an exclusive item for attending.
