Our favorite eats from the 2024 EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival

We spent Labor Day Weekend, the opening weekend for the EPCOT® International Food & Wine Festival, at this year's version of the event. We ate a lot from the many booths settled across the park, including:

Pumpkin Mascarpone Ravioli

With sage-brown butter, pecorino cheese and hazelnut praline, this dish—located at the all-new Forest and Field booth—stands among our favorites in EPCOT festival history. The sharpness of the cheese and the nuttiness of the ravioli's topping counter the rich sweetness of the pumpkin filling inside. It's a get-every-time-we-go dish.

Brioche aux Escargots

The French booth's escargot dishes are often a festival highlight, and this year's is no exception. Brioche loaded with escargot and garlic and parsley cream, this decadent filling inside a fluffy, light pastry puts this in the hall of fame of France's festival offerings. Don't let the snail scare you, it's tender and the garlic it bathes in is flavorful.

Pan-fried Chicken Dumplings

Although there's not much surprise or risk here, they're pan-fried dumplings done to near-perfection. For the less adventurous eaters, this quality bite is the perfect way to start the festival.

Fried Falafel Pita

With tomato-cucumber relish and tahini sauce, this dish is simple, fresh and sizable, and it makes for the perfect get for someone looking for a meatless dish, or someone looking for something on the lighter side.

Tostada de Camaron

The Mexico booth is a recurring festival standout, and this year's options edge out the previous few with a bit more inventiveness. Tempura battered shrimp atop a fried corn tortilla with guacamole, cabbage, chipotle aïoli, diced mango and chile-lime powder makes for a dish that is light and flavorful.
