Our guide to the best views at Universal Orlando Resort

Updated: May 20

Set in the heart of Orlando, Universal Orlando Resort's two (soon-to-be three) theme parks, eight resort hotels, beautiful water park and lively shopping and dining district make for a sprawling destination full of gorgeous sights.

The Resort Hotels

Universal Orlando's Resort hotels span four pricing categories (value, prime value, preferred, premier) and with close access to the parks, vibrant pools and a host of offerings, different locations grants different views.

The Volcano View tower suites at Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort grant sightltnes of Krakatau, the towering volcano of Universal's Volcano Bay, from your hotel room.

The water taxis many resorts offer also give a ground-up look at the parks from the soothing comfort of the water, with the ride from Loews Royal Pacific engrosses guests within the resort's expansive storyline.

Restaurants

Whether dining at one of the counter-service restaurants atop Universal CityWalk's second level or situating yourself next to one of the sprawling windows at one of its brilliantly themed restaurants, there's always an opportunity to people-watch and take in the area's constant exhilaration.

There are great views within the theme parks too, with Mythos in Islands of Adventure having seating that places guests overlooking the park's expansive lake.

Those looking for those one-of-a-kind rooftop views of Universal (and much of Orlando) will meet their perfect match at Aventura Hotel's Bar 17 Bistro. This rooftop bar is unlike any other dining destination in all of the city, providing some of the best sights Orlando has to offer.

Attractions

Those who can catch their breath long enough on Universal's soaring rides will find some of the most breathtaking moments of their entire vacation.

Available for a couple fleeting seconds, the top of Velocicoaster's climb provides perhaps the most jaw-dropping sight of anything Universal has to offer, while Doctor Doom's Fearfall makes that heart-dropping view the centerpiece of the ride.

Whether you're seeking thrills or looking to kick back and relax, Universal Orlando Resort offers views that are among Orlando's very best, adding a dynamic depth to the theme park destination experience.
