Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party has become one of the most exciting events at Walt Disney World® Resort, with its changing attractions, exclusive character meet-and-greets, and exclusive shows. There’s so much to do at the Halloweens party that it’s nearly impossible to do it all in one go, so guests who are experiencing it for the first time might want some tips so as not to miss the best stuff. Don’t forget to go trick-or-treating in between each major event you go to!
Meet a Rare Character
Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party not only has characters that you can’t meet anywhere else, but it has the best meet-and-greets, too. There are almost two dozen characters in the park, including the super rare Moana, Jack Skellington and Sally, and the Seven Dwarfs. A lot of guests want to see these characters, so unless you want to spend most of the party standing in line, you’ll want to go wait for one of these as long as you can.
Ride the Special Rides
This is being introduced for the first time in 2018, although fans of the Jingle Cruise and some of the holiday overlays in Disneyland® Resort will be familiar with the idea of some of the changes. During the event, Mad Tea Party is set to get new lighting and effects, Pirates of the Caribbean will feature new pirates who interact with guests, and Space Mountain will get a new soundtrack and effects. The party will be your only opportunity to see the rides like this, so at least a couple of these should be on your priority list.
Boo-To-You Parade
This parade, lead by the iconic Headless Horseman, is an all-time guest favorite and is consistently one of the highlights of the party. It runs at both 9:15 p.m. and 11:15 p.m., and is best seen from Frontierland® Area.
Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular
Whether you’re a fan of the Sanderson Sisters from Disney’s Hocus Pocus or are hearing about them for the first time, this castle show is a cannot-miss. It plays throughout the night and should be pretty easy to catch a glimpse of, but the midnight showing, right before you leave the party, is the perfect time to see it.
HalloWishes
A throwback to the nostalgia-filled days before the incredible Happily Ever After, HalloWishes has been a staple of the party since its creation, and is immensely popular for new and returning guests alike. It might even be better than the original Wishes was. It plays once during each night of the party at 10:15 p.m., so make sure you don’t miss it!
